Practicalities and Confidentiality

If you would like to explore the possibility of embarking on therapy I will offer you a free assessment consultation to meet and explore your issues and decide whether you are comfortable with working together. If you contract to work with me, you will normally be offered a regular session of 50 minutes weekly on either a short term or open-ended basis. The contract normally involves deciding the agreed day and time of sessions, the cost of the fee as well as arrangements for holidays, cancellations and methods of payment. Therapy is a confidential process between the client and the therapist. Confidentiality can only be broken in serious circumstances i.e., when the life of the client or another is considered to be at risk.

My details and experience

I Studied at the University of Bristol and gained a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling.  My Core counselling Model is Humanistic but I have studied and used other models. I consider myself to be Client Led.   What I mean by that is, my experience with clients has shown me that there is a better chance of success if you apply the right therapy for the right client.  I have extensive client experience working for a busy Counselling agency in Bristol and before that I worked with for the Samaritans. I am currently studying at Msc Level with the University of Bristol. I hold a current advanced CRB check.
